Paua is a natural shell.  Patterns and colors will vary with each piece.

These iridescent paua shell earrings are lightweight and double-sided with black resin in the middle.  They are coated with an acrylic finish to protect the shell and create a lovely sheen.  Made in New Zealand.

Lever-back earring components have a lever in the back that opens and closes to protect your earring from accidentally coming undone and falling out.

These particular lever-backs have a teardrop design on the front.
