Black 4mm Braided Leather Cord
Sterling Silver Lobster Clasp and Endcaps
Length: Approx. 18 inches
Paua is a natural shell. Patterns and colors will vary with each pendant.
The iridescent paua shell round pendant featured in this necklace has a cut out spiral or swirl design. The shell contains multiple colors such as green, blue, purple, silver, gold, pink, and black. But since paua shell is one of nature’s beautiful creations, no two are alike. Photos #3 and #4 are of alternate pendants, to show the variations that can occur.. The paua shell is on one side with black resin on the reverse side.
The pendant hangs on a high quality, thick black braided leather cord with a sterling silver clasp.
The Maori people of New Zealand call the spiral shape “koru” which represents an unfurling fern frond. It symbolizes new life, growth, strength, and peace.
Spirals are one of the oldest symbols known to man. It is a symbol of continual change and the evolution of the universe. Some consider the spiral a symbol of the spiritual journey. It is also considered to represent the evolutionary process of learning and growing. The path of life resembles a spiral. We seem to pass the same point over and over again but from a different perspective each time.
