This eye-catching iridescent necklace features a beautiful pendant with a mosaic design of Abalone shell on the right side and Mother Of Pearl shell on the left side. The reverse side of the pendant is solid white Mother Of Pearl shell. Due to the natural shell, no two pendants are exactly alike, reminding us of the uniqueness of each of us.
The teardrop pendant is framed with white Mother Of Pearl shell heishi beads, along with light green cultured sea glass beads, and sterling silver beads.
Abalone is a variety of mollusks or sea snails with ear-shaped shells. They feed on different varieties of seaweed, which creates the different colors in their shell as they grow. When viewing their vibrant, iridescent shell in various lighting and at different angles, their colors can change revealing many hues of blue, green, purple, pink and gold.
