Abalone is a natural shell.  Colors and patterns will vary in each pendant.

This sparkling necklace features an iridescent abalone shell round pendant.  It is complemented with light green, hematite, and silver glass beads.  Due to the natural shell, no two pendants are exactly alike, reminding us of the uniqueness of each of us.

Abalone is a variety of mollusks or sea snails with ear-shaped shells.  They feed on different varieties of seaweed, which creates the different colors in their shell as they grow.  When viewing their vibrant, iridescent shell in various lighting and at different angles, their colors can change revealing many hues of blue, green, purple, pink and gold.

Many cultures believe Abalone shells have a calming, soothing, and healing energy which calms the mind and relaxes the spirit.  The Maori people of New Zealand call their Abalone “Paua” and believe it can bring luck, peace, and prosperity to the person wearing it.
