Each beautiful Fossil Coral gemstone pendant is unique- displaying varying colors and patterns.  The pendant can be worn on either side, and has a silver-plated copper bail, which is lead and nickel free.  The pendant’s 46mm length measurement does not include its bail.

Fossil Coral is a natural gemstone formed by ancient corals.  Corals are marine animals whose skeletons are fossilized and preserved, often leaving flower-like patterns in the stone.  The gemstone’s name has been derived from “agatized fossil coral” because it was created when the prehistoric coral was gradually replaced with agate.

According to metaphysical beliefs, Fossil Coral is helpful for promoting inner peace and quieting disruptive thoughts.  It helps keep you grounded and motivated.  It is also said to be a good-luck charm of the ocean.  Travelers believe it has the power to avoid bad weather.  This belief has made it a gemstone that evades the storms of life.
